Blackjack Pizza was founded in 1983 by Vince Schmuhl. The first Blackjack Pizza store was opened on June 29, 1983 in Federal Heights, CO. The second store opened in Greeley, CO in February of 1984. Vince continued to open new stores, mainly in the Denver Metro Area. There are now over 40 locations in five states.

Founded in 1983, Blackjack Pizza is a chain of pizza restaurants. Located in Centennial, Colo., the restaurant offers a variety of pizzas, such as Good Deal, Full House, Mediterranean Chicken, Jackpot, Santa Fe and Western barbecue Chicken, among others. In addition, it provides various toppings, including pepperoni, ground beef, chicken, red onions, black olives, green peppers and mozzarella, to name a few. In 1988, Blackjack Pizza officially became a franchisor using the concept of an owner/operator franchisee at each store location. It operates more than 45 stores in approximately four states.
